Living in a handmade clay pod

I am a sucker for handmade things and I highly appreciate the love for labor. So here we were in Thailand, living in handmade clay pod built. The owner of the boutique hotel actually conceptualised the pod shaped rooms, gathered the raw materials and actually made the pod rooms with his own two hands. The owner of the hotel is also the architect, maker, receptionist, cook and room service person. he just has 1 assistant who can also do all these jobs.

This was a very unique stay in Krabi, Thailand that we came across on Agoda.  The hotel is tucked in a corner at the end of the most happening lane in Krabi. So while it gives the calm and soothing vibes and access to the most happening restaurants are just stones throw away.

The rooms have been constructed in the traditional Thai way of making clay house. So they are environmental friendly. There was a beautiful conch shaped basin with some really cool drift wood water faucets. But the most attractive part of the room is the open air couple bath tub. Need i say anymore. We had an amazing time living in this boutique hotel.

If you book this place, do give a shout out to us on our instagram or blog. Check my Thailand blogposts as well.
